Bricky’s Comedy Club is a live stand-up comedy organization based in the Dayton, Ohio area, offering intimate, engaging comedy experiences at venues throughout the Miami Valley. With regular shows at The LightHaus in Dayton’s Oregon District and additional events hosted in partnership with venues across the region, Bricky’s has become a go-to option for people searching for unique things to do, memorable date night ideas, and live entertainment that feels personal instead of mass-produced.

OUR STORY

Founded in August 2022 by Dayton comedian Kevin Ruppert, with early support from the Midwest Comedy Tour, Bricky’s was built around a simple idea: keep the room personal, keep the audience close, and let the comedy do the work. The result is an experience where crowds feel connected to the performers, laughs build fast, and no one feels like they’re watching from a distance.

Bricky’s originally opened inside Star City Brewing Company in Miamisburg. In spring 2026, under new ownership, Star City Brewing Company transitioned back to the historic Peerless Mill Inn & Brewery, with Bricky’s continuing to operate from the venue during the transition. In October 2026, Bricky’s and Peerless Mill parted ways after more than four years of Bricky’s producing comedy at the Miamisburg location.

In August 2026, Bricky’s expanded into downtown Dayton through a partnership with The LightHaus and longtime friend of Bricky’s Chalk De Peace. Located in the heart of Dayton’s historic Oregon District, Bricky’s at The LightHaus continues to provide a destination for live stand-up comedy in downtown Dayton.

Today, Bricky’s continues producing shows at The LightHaus while also partnering with venues throughout the Miami Valley for additional shows and special events. This flexible model allows Bricky’s to bring its comedy experience to audiences throughout the region while continuing to grow and develop new partnerships.

LIVE COMEDY AT BRICKY’S

Bricky’s has earned a reputation for showcasing up-and-coming comedy talent alongside nationally respected headliners. It’s the kind of room where rising comics sharpen their material and established names drop in because the energy is right. Performers like Tony Woods, Luis J. Gomez, and Mark Normand have all taken the stage, drawn by the crowds, the freedom, and the intimacy that smaller rooms provide.

The club also embraces the modern comedy movement that fans associate with pop-up shows and secret lineups. Whether at The LightHaus or one of Bricky’s partner venues throughout the Miami Valley, the experience often carries the same excitement people love about Don’t Tell-style comedy, where the room is alive, the audience is locked in, and anything can happen.

MAKING COMEDY HISTORY

In February 2024, Bricky’s Comedy Club made international comedy history by producing an 84-hour continuous stand-up show, breaking the world record for the longest nonstop comedy event. It wasn’t just a spectacle. It was a reflection of the club’s commitment to comedy and the Dayton community around it.

That commitment was recognized in August 2024 when Bricky’s was named Best Comedy Club in Dayton by the Dayton Daily News.

Bricky’s has also become a home for comedians looking to capture their work on film. In August 2024, comedian Brent Bowser recorded his critically acclaimed comedy special, I Think I Get It Now, at Bricky’s.

In May 2026, Bricky’s VP and Director of Operations Jerrel Beamon recorded his comedy special, Ohio Kid, at Bricky’s, making it the second full comedy special recorded at the club. Ohio Kid debuted in August 2026 and reached #1 on iTunes just days after its release, marking another major milestone for both Beamon and Bricky’s.

GROWING BEYOND DAYTON

Bricky’s has also begun expanding beyond its original Ohio footprint. In 2026, Andrew Riggs joined the organization to spearhead the development of Bricky’s New Jersey. The New Jersey operation has already hosted several preliminary shows, with plans to continue growing its presence throughout late 2026 and into 2027.

In 2026, Bricky’s also launched Bricky’s To You, a mobile comedy service designed for comedy lovers who can’t make it to one of our regularly scheduled shows but still want the full Bricky’s experience. Bricky’s To You brings live stand-up comedy directly to private events, businesses, organizations, and partner venues, further expanding the Bricky’s experience throughout the region.
